Meet Lynne:
SPEAKER: An international speaker, teacher, and workshop leader for more than three decades, Lynne is known for her personable style that reaches a variety of audiences.
Lynne is a trained speaker with Stonecroft ministries and a 2018 Voice of Hope with the American Cancer Society. She serves as a story coach for Survivors Tell a Real Story (STARS) at Scottsdale Theater of Performing Arts. Lynne has also served on the faculty at several writers’ conferences.
AUTHOR: Lynne is the author of Under a Desert Sky: Redefining Hope, Beauty, and Faith in the Hardest Places. She is a contributing author to thirty-two books with Guideposts Publications, including the annual Walking in Grace devotional, formerly known as Daily Guideposts. Lynne has been featured in several newspapers and magazines, including Guideposts Magazine with a readership of over two million. She writes monthly for her Wonder*FULL newsletter about discovering beauty right where you live.
Lynne’s desert poetry was awarded the Sister Cities International Innovation in Art and Culture Award in 2025. She teaches poetry classes at Scottsdale Art School.
FAMILY: Lynne and her husband, Mayor Kevin Hartke, pastored a church in Chandler, Arizona for over 40years. Avid hikers, they have a few tales to share about rattlesnakes and Gila monsters while enjoying their cabin in an old-growth forest in northern Arizona. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.
