Meet Lynne
SPEAKER: An international speaker, storyteller, teacher, and workshop leader for more than three decades, Lynne is known for her personable style that reaches a variety of audiences.
Lynne is a trained speaker with Stonecroft ministries and a 2018 Voice of Hope with the American Cancer Society. She serves as a story coach for STARS Arizona (Survivors Tell a Real Story) at Scottsdale Theater of Performing Arts and at the Herberger. Lynne has also served on the faculty for writers’ conferences and teaches poetry classes at Scottsdale Art School.
AUTHOR: Lynne is the author of Under a Desert Sky: Redefining Hope, Beauty, and Faith in the Hardest Places. She is a contributing author to thirty-two with Guideposts Publications, a publishing company since 1945. Lynne has been featured in newspapers and magazines, including Guideposts Magazine with a readership of over two million.
FAMILY: Lynne and her husband, Mayor Kevin Hartke, pastored a church in Chandler, AZ for over forty years. Avid hikers, they have a few tales to share about rattlesnakes and Gila monsters while enjoying their cabin in an old-growth forest in northern Arizona. They are currently hiking the Arizona Trail in bite-size sections. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.
AWARD WINNER: Lynne’s poetry was recently part of the Ceangal/Connections exhibit at the Esker Art Centre in Tullamore, Ireland and at the Chandler Museum in Chandler, Arizona. Their collaborative team of eight creatives was selected as the Sister Cities International 2025 winner of the Innovation in Arts and Culture Award.
