Have You Ever Said, I'm Depressed?

"I used to wake up and say, 'I'm depressed,'" the speaker said.*

He went on to say that depression is a real possibility and shouldn't be taken lightly, but that in this case, he wasn't depressed and challenged us, as the audience, to consider that sometimes we aren't depressed either.

"I realized I was feeling the weight of this human experience," he continued, "that my emotions had been opened to feel what it means to love others."

I found these words challenging. And helpful.

Today, on your journey, I pray you have the courage to open yourself up to those deep, weighty places.
