When You are Barely Holding On

"Release me

from the dark fury

of assuming I am unloved

when the day calls for sacrifice

and the night for courage."

- from the book Guerrillas of Grace  by Ted Loder

Praying that if you are in a time of sacrifice, or in a night-season where you are barely holding on, that you will not listen to the dark fury, because isn't the voice so loud in the midnight hours?

Hold onto truth: you are loved.

Update on Mom:

Lung doc believes fluid on lungs is less and therefore, no need to drain or biopsy. Thankful. Appointment on Wednesday with oncologist to see if we are doing chemo on Thursday. Blood pressure has been an absolute bug this past week. But NO PAIN.

We've finished a good week, including 3 trips to Hobby Lobby as Mom has been working on a PROJECT. She made a birthstone charm necklace, one bead for each of the 32 members of the family - her and Dad, kids, spouses, grandkids and spouses, and great-grands.

Mom is part of a huge family. From her parents, there are 412 descendants and spouses. In comparison, on my husband's side, there are 32 descendants and spouses from his maternal grandparents. My mom does her best to keep in contact with as many of these family members as possible (and this doesn't include the many family members from my dad's side!)  She misses her email skills terribly. But she loves to talk on the phone. Please feel free to call: 507-373-3737.

Renae left on Friday. Lisa arrived Saturday evening. This meant cheesecake making last night. Saw cousins Diane and Jim Hess on Sunday. Cousin Dan Hankins will be here on Monday. Mom, the social activity magnet.

Love this store!
