When You Are Barely Holding On

"Release me

from the dark fury

of assuming I am unloved

when the day calls for sacrifice

and the night for courage."

- from the book Guerrillas of Grace by Ted Loder

Praying that if you are in a time of sacrifice,

or in a night-season where you are barely holding on,

that you will not listen to the dark fury,

because isn't the voice so loud in the midnight hours?

Hold onto truth:

you are loved.
