Living Life Zoomed In
In the woods, on a fall color day
my son captures the world through his camera lens.He gets down low to photograph a leaf-strewn path.
He zooms in to catch lichen on aspen bark.
He notices a young tree next to an older matriarch
and a golden leaf caught by its tail.
"O give thanks to the Lord...Speak of all His wonders....Seek his face continually." from Psalm 105:1-4
Living thankful is looking at the world up close and personal, zoomed in, collecting moments of wonder.
It is here, we discover the face of God.
Where will you find wonder today? How will you live thankful?

Update on My Mom:
I will be giving updates on my mom as part of my normal blogging schedule - every Monday and Thursday. Mom flies into Phoenix today with my sister, Lisa, at 2:00 this afternoon. They spent last night in Minneapolis in orderto avoid the horrible road construction. Lisa said that Mom is ready for this new chapter. She left her home of 49 1/2 years without a tear. Mom says it has not been the same since Dad died. I am also impressed that they are coming with 4 medium suitcases and one carry-on filled with Mom's things. I came with an additional 2 large suitcases last week.
Wednesday we will be meeting with mom's new oncologist. We would appreciate your prayers.
I would definitely need more stuff!
